October 6 Japanese hankerchiefs, useful as medical product
Exports of Japanese made handkerchiefs to Western countries are
growing, but recently surgeons have begun to use them to wipe/clean the
wound. The surgeon, Dr. Robert, of Philadelphia, only uses this
handkerchief. Previously, he had used natural sponges, but they
cannot be used more than once. Cotton or linen towels, even
though effective, have potential for dirt and germs to enter the
wound. Japanese handkerchiefs are effective and inexpensive, so
it is not regretable to throw them away after use.
